Ultrasound

In order for your pets to receive the best care we utilise the benefits of Ultrasound scanning. This is a pain free procedure that produces images of the body to allow our  Vets to have a closer look into the health of your pets.

Non-invasive and safe

Ultrasound is a non invasive and safe technique that allows us to look inside your pet’s body and helps us assess the internal structure of bodily organs.

Ultrasound can help with the diagnosis of problems in the liver, spleen, kidneys, bladder and intestines. Ultrasound of the heart is vital for diagnosing the cause of heart murmurs which helps us decide on the best treatment options and evaluate the prognosis for your pet.

Sedation

Your pet may require sedation prior to their ultrasound. We always recommend fasting your pet for at least 6 hours prior to their ultrasound, as food or gas in the stomach can interfere with the images obtained.
