🌩As a storm rolls in, many dogs get anxious, frightened, or downright terrified. Thunderstorms, ...lightning, and heavy winds can trigger a strong fear response. It’s heartbreaking to see our furry friends in distress, but there are things we can do to help them through it! 🌩
⚡️Create a safe space – A cozy, quiet area away from windows can make your dog feel secure.
⚡️Provide some background noise e.g white noise or soft music
⚡️Use Adaptil collars or diffuses
⚡️Try a calming vest – Vests like Thundershirts apply gentle pressure to help soothe anxiety.
⚡️Consult with your vet - If your dog's fear of storms is severe, it might be time to consult with your vet for advice on medications or behavior therapy.

✨Wildlife Wednesday✨
This little female ringtail possum was brought into us by a member of ...the public after being found hiding underneath a car tyre on a hot day.
With a bit of fluid therapy and some TLC little miss should be back out in the wild in no time. 🧡
Remember if you do ever find injured or sick wildlife you can always call WIRES Rescue Line for advice on 0418 628 483. 🐾

✨New vaccine now available! Protect your dog with Lepto 2 Vaccine💉

Why Lepto 2?
...The new vaccine protects against TWO✌️ major strains of the disease leptospirosis.

Leptospirosis is a potentially severe disease for dogs, transmitted through contact with urine from infected rodents/wildlife and contaminated water sources.🐭The bacteria can lead to serious health problems in pets, including liver and kidney failure, and it can also pose a risk to humans.

What if my dog has already had the previous Lepto vaccine?
Your pet will need to restart the vaccine series which consists of TWO boosters 4 weeks apart, then annually to ensure full protection. 🐾
