Dr Suzanne Bijster – Veterinarian

Hi I am Dr Suzanne Bijster. I graduated in 1999 from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. After working in small animal clinics for 3 years in various cities, the travel bug caught which led me to Australia. Since 2006 I have been working as a small animal vet in Albury-Wodonga and last year made the move to Wangaratta to join the team at Dr Paws. Thorough history and physical examination and a common sense approach would best describe my attitude to my work.

My aim is to find a workable and affordable solution to improve the quality of life for every patient. I have one very small dog on three legs, one very large dog, a gorgeous moggie cat and an elderly sophisticated burmese. Let’s not forget our ‘I’ll eat anything’ rabbit and a very demanding goldfish.

Michelle – Head Veterinary Nurse

I have always been passionate about animals and have been lucky enough to be in the veterinary industry for 7 years now. I love that no two days are the same and I am so excited to be part of the team at Dr Paws.

Rach – Senior Veterinary Nurse

I have been a vet nurse for the past 6 years. My favourite part of the job would be the challenges that each day brings, and that no two days are the same. I also love seeing our clients’ faces light up when they get to take their fur babies home after being nursed back to good health. I love all things dogs and have 5 of my own at home who I adore.

Makaila – Veterinary Nurse

My passion for animals started at a young age due to growing up on a farm. I have a special interest in horses and love all aspects of mix practice.

Allison – Receptionist

Having always loved anything animal related, working in a veterinary clinic in a receptionist role is the best way to combine my customer service skills with my passion for pets!

Laura – Veterinary Nurse

I have always had a passion for animal care. Prior to working in the veterinary industry I worked in animal rescue for 7 years. I have a special interest in Cats, their behaviour and growth
