Happy world vet day to our wonderful team of vets!
🎉🧡 Dr Adrian, Dr Greg, Dr Sharina, Dr... Ser Lin, Dr Caitlin, Dr Luis and Dr Andy 🧡🩺
World vet day is celebrated on the last Saturday of April to honor the essential role veterinarians play in protecting and providing animal health care.
Being a vet is no easy job. It’s comes with early mornings, long days and countless late nights. Vets continually work hard through stressful cases and non-stop days to provide the best care for our animals.
So thank you. Thank you for all the missed lunches, messages and calls made at home out of work hours, staying back to help a patient in need, skipping personal events and being you.
Without vets, animals medicine and care doesn’t exist. Today is to remind everyone that vets are people too and their work and lives matter 🧡

The importance of dentals in animals 🦷🪥
When we talk about dentals we often ...emphasise the importance of x-rays and probing the teeth. Unfortunately we can only see 50% of the tooth, so getting a clear idea of what the root looks like is critical in your pets medical care.
Below is one of our lovely patients who recently came in for a scale and polish. You can see how nice and clean the teeth are but on a closer inspection the tooth has started to decay and needs to be removed.
Dental pain can be quite serious for your pets and they are sometimes able to hide it very well. Long term dental disease can lead to chronic pain/infections, tooth loss and organ damage as the bacteria from the mouth can travel through the blood stream leading to heart disease, liver damage and kidney infections. When it comes to dental procedures, they should never be done while your pet is awake as this can cause pain and distress for the animal.
For any questions on dentals, you can book in with one of our amazing vets or book a free nurse dental check. 🧡
